In my day job, I lead China and AI policy research for Eric Schmidt (former CEO of Google). My recent pieces can be found in the New York Times, The Atlantic, TIME, The Ideas Letter, Fortune, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and The Diplomat. I was previously a China journalist at Bloomberg. My views have been quoted in CNN, TIME, WSJ, TechCrunch, BBC, The Guardian, IEEE Spectrum, The Straits Times, among others.

In my free time, I love writing speculative fiction, wandering around museums, watching Broadway shows, and traveling. I’m currently working on a novel set in near-future China. My senior thesis at Harvard was on Sinofuturism.
